What We Are Looking For

To be successful in this role, you must possess strong administrative, project, and organisational skills, alongside proven experience with finance administration and data management.

We require a confident communicator and dedicated team player who can actively support the facilitation of training, work independently, and make sound operational decisions. Additionally, it is an inherent requirement for you to have proficiency and full command of Afrikaans.

In this role, you will support day-to-day operations, programme coordination, data systems, and financial processes, while contributing to meaningful work that supports children and communities.

Job Purpose

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Administrator will be responsible for providing high-quality administrative support to the team, coordinating day-to-day office operations, and assisting with HR and Finance activities to support our systemic child safeguarding interventions.

Requirements

  • Grade 12 with a minimum of 5 years of administrative support experience in a similar role
  • Full command of Afrikaans (verbal and written) — an inherent requirement for this position
  • Valid Code 8 (Code B) driver’s licence
  • Willingness to travel nationally for work
  • Prior experience working within a non-profit organisation (NGO) or similar environment is highly advantageous
  • Minimum 2 years of working experience in a project management or coordination environment
  • Experience in Office coordination, facilitation and Finance job-related activities is beneficial
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Fully computer literate with proficient knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word) and digital communication tools
  • Able to work under pressure, multitask, and prioritise workload to meet tight deadlines
  • Highly organised, meticulous, and proactive with a flexible and helpful attitude at all times
  • Displays maturity, adaptability, punctuality, discretion, tact, and diplomacy when engaging cross-sector partners, medical professionals, and civil society.
